Before becoming a PMHNP, I worked in several challenging and rewarding settings that shaped my approach to mental health care. My experience in inpatient acute psychiatry strengthened my crisis‑intervention skills and reinforced the importance of compassion during someone’s most vulnerable moments. Working in corrections gave me a deeper understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by individuals in the justice system, and my time in the Neuro/Trauma ICU taught me to stay calm, focused, and grounded under pressure.
These experiences solidified my belief in holistic, whole‑person care and the essential connection between physical and mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely understood. Building trust and forming authentic connections are central to my practice.

I know the brutal and lasting impact of trauma and loss. I’ve used EMDR, Brainspotting, and somatic therapy to treat my own PTSD and anxiety. I understand the importance of finding a therapist who supports you and actually makes a difference. I love our first session together, as you begin to notice what trust and unconditional support look and feel like.
